Sharla, I don't know if you read my blog, but this one's for you, my seamstressly talented sister-in-law. I had to dust off my sewing kit the other day and actually thread a needle for a minor repair on Karis' sweater. As if it weren't challenging enough, Karis, my sweet girl, says something like, "Aunt Sharla sews better than you, Mom." Then Corban, my supportive son, chimes in with, "Yeah, and she braids hair better, too." Thanks, guys. I thought this was really pretty funny and had to share it with you, along with this picture of my meager little sewing kit. Oh, I DID get the sweater fixed, by the way, with only one needle poke!

I didn't know you were so funny, Kristen! Well, the size of one's sewing kit doesn't define one's sewing abilities of course. Mine's considerably larger than yours - and OLDER too, but Sharla is way ahead of me in her creative talents. I was repairing a pair of Taylor's pants the other day and told myself that Sharla could have completed the task in 10 minutes and it took me an hour. Gr.r.r.
At least you can fix your own hair beautifully. I envy your curls. Mine always seems to have a flat spot and/or a frizzy spot somewhere!
Oops! I just reread my post and remembered that my Bible reading today admonished, "Do not envy." Ugh! Guess I had better work on that!
Oh goody, my efforts to trick your children into thinking I'm talented has succeeded! Bwaaa haa haaaaa! :)
